課程目標 在理論上，深入淺出地介紹植物的基本構造、形態、生理及術語、生物分類與學名、命名、植物與環境等相關知識，在實務上除教導同學景觀植栽辨識的方法外，並講授各種造園材料應用實例之介紹；最後希望同學除了在上課中吸收知識外，也能自己動手做一些簡單的家庭園藝設計，並為朝陽校園綠化提出一些建議。 Objectives Identification, growth characteristics, culture and use of common landscape and greenhouse plants. Materials include trees, shrubs, vines, ground covers, lawn grasses and floriculture crops. Emphasis is placed on temperate plants.
教材 本課程除了以幻燈片、投影片或錄影帶配合上課講授外，將安排校外參觀教學、專家演講、課堂習作、分組討論及報告等教學活動。 Teaching Materials Lecture, Field Trip, Case Studies, Teamwork and Presentation
成績評量方式 個人平常課堂作業30 ％，
分組報告作業20 ％，
期中考：植物材料搜尋20 ％，
期末考：植物辨識20 ％，
出席狀況、課堂表現及平常作業分數10 ％，		 Grading Personal Homework 30%, Teamwork Presentation 20%, Midterm Exam. 20%, Final Exam. 20%, Class Participation 10%
