IMPORTANT NOTE (AGAIN!): IT IS COMPULSORY THAT STUDENTS PREPARE AND REVISE FOR THE CLASS.
1.Comprehension, vocabulary, and spoken skills will also be the focus of teaching to enhance students' listening ability.
2.Students will need to purchase one English-English learner's dictionary and a grammar dictionary for this class.
3.students will have to prepare highlighers (yellow is essential) or different colour pens for marking purpose.
4.Students need to listen to authentic materials every day and draw a 1)summary & 2)feedback, for the programmes listened to check self-comprehension. In addition, students may want to list 3) problems they have regarding the listening activity. Finally 4) will be the discussion session on what you can do to improve it. |

I will design carefully for this particular course according to student needs. Teaching materials will be announced after the first lesson when students' proficiency in English is checked (i.e. textbook). A different range of learning materials will be distributed in each class - especially authentic materials such as English songs, movies, news,...etc. Students are expected to work very hard on the day-to-day base (not only during class hours). Only English is allowed in class. Moreover, it is important for students to PREPARE AND REVISE for each session. |
