生長在台灣的人，應該知道台灣的歷史，前瞻台灣未來的發展必須從台灣的過去中尋找蜘絲馬跡，從豐厚的文化內涵中凝聚廿一世紀台灣人的共識。本課程目的旨在讓學生透過台灣史的教學，了解自己生長土地的民情風俗和宗教文化，藉此共同的歷史記憶，達到愛護鄉土和惜環境的情操。 |
Objectives |
In recent years Taiwan has experienced a powerful burgeoning of native consciousness. As the people turn toward their roots with newfound nostalgia, study on Tawian’s history, and area of ever-increasing activity, has at last come into vogue. |

擬以各教學主題自編講義授課，再配合投影片和錄影帶教學，採取生動活潑多樣的教學方式，帶領學生探索台灣文化。 |

分為五大主題，即1.台灣史前文明，從台灣地形的生成開始，以考古資料介紹台灣史前文明。2.早期台灣開發，看早期西班牙人、荷蘭人和漢人開發的過程。3.清領時期的台灣，以台灣納入清朝版圖後，對台灣政治、經濟、社會、宗教、文化的變遷。4.日據時期的台灣，描述日據時期台灣社會種種現象。5.現代台灣：探究多種文化匯聚下的台灣。 |
