Teaching Materials |
English Writing and Translation is an introductory writing course. It focuses on practicing writing grammatically accurate sentences, combing them into well-formed paragraphs with clear topic sentences and supporting details and using the paragraphs in essay form. Through the writing process, we provide an assortment of activities to help students master the wide array of writing skills necessary for good writing.
All drafts of essays written at home must be typewritten or word-processed. Special appendixes at the end of the textbook provide spelling, punctuation, and capitalization rules that students can use for reference. |

Syllabus |
The goal of the course is primarily to improve students' proficiency in communicative language skills with an emphasis on writing. After finishing English writing and translation, students will be able to write well formed and developed paragraphs, have a basic understanding of the development of the essay form in the language that is grammatically and phonologically accurate. |
