| 課程目標 |
本課程是進修部二技學生的一學期必修課程。本課程之目標在於延續學生以往所學之英語能力，尤其著重於加強其在職場之英語會話技巧。 |
Objectives |
This one-semester course is required for all students who are enrolled in the two-year evening program. The purpose of this course is to expand the English language skills previously acquired by the students and especially to improve their conversational skills, with focus put on workplace dialogues. |

Pair/group works, activities, and small talks with: interesting, useful topics, opportunities to express opinions and ideas, Conversational language, authentic situational dialogues, grammar and vocabulary embedded in actual communicative context, fun and interactive games and activities, thought provoking warm-up questions,student-centered materials |
Teaching Materials |
Objective:
Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:
1. have a concept of comparison and contrast thinking pattern and express their viewpoints with it.
2. make a presentation for 3 mins in English with correct pronunciation, grammar, , body language and eye contacts.
3. be more familiar with vary kinds of tests (GRE, TOFEL, TSE,...ETC).
4. clearly state and adequately support a point of view orally.
5. increase reading speed with loss of comprehension.
6. improve the listening abilities.
7. define and use target information in speaking assignments and quizzes.
8. build English vocabulary learning techniques. |

| 教學內容 |
Description:
This course is designed to provide intermediate students with instruction and practice in simple structures and other basic rules of English to speak in English. Students will practice using English they’ve learned to make presentations and do the role play in English with target specific skills of English in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Homework will be assigned and quizzes and tests will be given periodically. English Songs and Discussions in pairs or groups will train students’ English integrated abilities. Any students missing the midterm and final exam will be given a grade of F for this semester. |
