Objectives |
The goal of this course is to provide the students with a basic knowledge of database system. The main topics include data modeling, structure query language, storeage structure, query processing, and transaction management. The students will realize the following database system basics after finishing this course: 1. the role of database and database applications in an organization; 2. data modeling using the entity-relationship models (E-R models); 3. developing database application; 4. understand the use of SQL |
