課程目標 本課程主要介紹國內重要的產業及其製程,包括石化、鋼鐵、矽酸鹽工業、及電子產業。 Objectives The class will discuss the topic issues of environmental concerns in the manufacturing process, including refinery and petrochemical industry, steel mill, cement mill, and electronic industry.

教學內容 本課程內容以產品之製造程序、簡單原理、用途與應用、及可能之環境污染為主題。包括能源工業、煉鋼業、石油冶煉與石油化學工業、塑膠工業、人造纖維工業、矽酸鹽工業、染料與染色、塗料與顏料、以及電子材料工業等。目前是電子工業的時代,所涉及的電子產品包括半導體、各種組件、印刷電路版、電子工業用的封裝與組合材料。學生應配合國內未來產業結構之變化,瞭解電子產品之製程、及可能造成之環境污染。除此之外,國內的傳統工業也亟需進行產業昇級,如何由以更「清潔」的生產製程取代傳統製程亦是本課程探討的重要內容。 Syllabus This course focuses on the production and processes associated with specified products. The main industry processes introduced in the classes cover utilities, steel manufacturing, refinery, petrochemical industry, as well as the electrical industry. We will discuss the principles for the production in each class firstly, followed by the process of the manufacturing and their future trend. The concepts of life cycle assessment and design for environment are also briefly dicussed in the class. We hope the students can possess the modern concept for the manufacturing as well as the pollution prevention practices in their future career development.
