課程目標	經由課堂講授的方式介紹近代中國與臺灣的社會變遷與文化發展,特別是知識份子對時局的重視與因應	Objectives	We will introduce the social movement and culture development in the modern China and Taiwan area,especially the intellectual class
教材	以自編講義為教材，再輔以影片教學。	Teaching Materials	By using the lecturals,remains,vedio tapes and transparency films.
成績評量方式	期中考：30% 期末考：30% 平時成績：40%（口頭報告、書面報告、上課出席及表現）	Grading	Midterm 30% Final exam 30% Discussion, presence, oral report and report 40%

教學內容	主要是以政治、經濟、社會、文化各個層面的轉變，來介紹中國社會變遷的狀況，並探討社會轉變過程中引發的種種社會問題，藉著探討自清末到民國以來的群眾運動，來知曉社會上各個階層民眾的訴求。希望從介紹中國社會的各項轉變，來讓學生瞭解近百年中國社會文化轉變的過程，進而知曉現在中國台灣社會文化的形成。	Syllabus	The introduction of modern Chinese and it culture is mainly focus on: origin of civilization, development of politic, environment, economy, religion, foreign policy, art and etc.
