課程目標 本課程之目的在於協助同學在進行系上各位指導教授所指定的碩士論文研究工作,另一方面本課程也希望透過科學文獻之研讀能進一步開拓同學的視野與研究領域. Objectives This course is designed mainly to help the excution of master thesis of each student, assigned by your instructor. Through a satisfied report on one scientific paper is absolutely required to earn the credit. Besides, the course is also to broaden the research scope of each student.
教材 上課講授與老師,每位同學均需一起參與討論以尋找可能的答案. Teaching Materials Oral presentation adn discussion to find one of the best approach.
成績評量方式 以專題口頭報告為學期總成績評分依據,其中特別要強調兩點(i)所閱讀文獻實驗或理論之缺失;與(ii)其科學貢獻為何.每位同學(除演講者)在聽講後皆需提出一個或以上問題討論,以作為本課程評分之依據,同學之學期總成績概分為7個等級65,70,75,80,85,90與95.第一次報告不及格者將更換paper重新報告,若及格仍以70分計.

前次報告同學需對疑難問題作補充說明,這點也列入成績考評.
Grading The course evaluation of each student will be based on the following:
(1). oral presentation and answering
(2). questions raised while listening
(3). paper evaluation (such as its scientific significance, wrong doing).

We ranked the studnts into seven levels, which are 65, 70,75,80,85,90, and 95. Those students who failed using the first paper will have a secpond opportunity where a second paper will be utilized or assigned for evaluation.

教學內容 本課程的目的是培養本系碩士班研究生在閱讀與自己碩士論文相關之科學文獻(限定英文文稿)時,並口頭報告(課堂上將以抽籤決定順序,由第二週開始)表達或揣摩作者在進行此研究之原意.當然也希望同學在看完原文的一遍,二遍,或更多遍後,此篇文稿的閱讀能有助於各指導教授交給同學自己的研究題目之瞭解.其中包括探討所閱讀文獻之缺失與其科學上之貢獻. Syllabus This course aims to help students to throughly understand scientific papers (English version only) while reading, which are related to his or her own, assigned Master Theesis. At class, a comprehensive oral presentation, including answering and discussions, is required. The presenting performance on a special paper, such as the scientific contribution and wrong-doing of the selected paper, at class will be measured as the final course evaluation. Besides, the mutual response with the speaker and the importance of the questions raised while listening the presentation of others is also taken into account. In this way, we believe that it will somehow help the graduate students in our department to accomplish the requiremtns they are asked.
