The course divides into three sections. Eash section has four parts. Each section will begin with a film that introduces the major theme of section.<br>

Two textbooks contain the required readings. Students should maintain an active reading schedule and not fall beind. Priority throught out the course will be given to themes developed in Media and Society, and introduction. For this reason, students should study this text carefullly before they proceed to the weekly reading from Media in Global Context, a reader. This latter text should be perused quickly for examples that pertain to the major themes outlined in Media and Society, an introduction prior to the class meeting |
