This is an INTERNET COURSE (ONLINE COURSE)! Course contents is available on the course website (ecourse.cyut.net.tw). Prescribed readings are listed on the website. Many readings are downloadable from the website.
Face-to-face tutoring will make up one third of the time credited to students (that is, 18 hours for the whole semester! We will meet every three weeks for three hours; beginning in the first week of the semester).
There will be a final exam, which will be held, of course, in class.
Students are also asked to deliver three homeworks (per e-mail). Each student will choose altogether three questions (out of total ten questions) which they have to answer in a comprehensive manner (Chinese is OK). One answer equals to one homework.
You will present one paper (1000-2000 words, Chinese is OK!) during in-class tutorials.
In addition, you are required to join the discussion board of the course website (discussions will be held 100% in English!). Special topics are presented by both the instructors and even the students. The instructor is more than willing to support you with regard to the English language for online discussions! From time to time there will be guests (famous scholars!) joining in the discussions. |
