課程目標 本課程教學目標是要奠定學生學習的基礎,特別是文法與字彙,再依據學生的程度、能力等,使用不同的方法來達成預期目標:亦即加強學員在英語方面說讀聽寫等方面的技巧。為達成此目標,故採激勵學生盡量使用英語之方式授課。為使學生了解英語的重要性並更有自性地不怕說英語 Objectives This two-semester course is designed for students of all departments. It reinforces and builds on the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary previously acquired by the students. According to the starting level and to the abilities of the students, different approaches are used to achieve the same goal, which is to improve the students" reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English. For reaching this goal much effort is put into encouraging the students to use English as often as possible. Students have to understand the importance of English and become more confident and less afraid of speaking English. There are different techniques to motivate the students, such as, inter alia, group work and role playing.
教材 The course is intended as an EFL course emphasizing fulency in a general context, i.e. English for general purposes. It provides the students with a non-threatening learning enviroment. The students increase their confidence in using English and improve their ability to apply the knowledge of the English language they have acquired in high school.The four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening are taught in a integrated methodoligy. The instructor are expected to incorporate the teachingof spesific language skills in their everyday classroom activities and foster the students' ability to participte in cycles of language use; students discuss what they have read, write about what they have discuss in class and listen to what their peers have say about a reading or viewing assignment. Teaching Materials discussion, presentations, dialogue creating, reading, dialogue creating,quizzes, oral assignments, writing practicing...etc.
成績評量方式 In class: 50%: participation 30%, homework 30%, quizzes 30%

教學內容 A variety of activities are used throughout the year including dialogues, role-plays, pair work, small group projects and whole class discussions.Students are given opportunity to apply the rules to real-life situations that they might encounter in an English-speaking country. Teacher encourages students to monitor their grammar usage, concise vocabulary and correct proninciation while improving their level of fluency. Syllabus Goal and Objective of Course:
This is a Freshman English four-skill course taught exclusively to intermediate students. The goal of the course is primarily to improve students' proficiency in communicative competence with an emphasis on integrated listening/speaking/reading/writing skills. A functional, notional approach is taken to planning objectives to help studnets fain confidence in using the English in social interaction, indicidual speech/ presentation and various kinds of writing. Therefore, your active participation, attendance, and positive attitude are very important for successful completion.
